Our 2009 Season has ended. We would like to Thank eveyone who attended, volunteered, sponsored and helped in anyway to make it a success. We are actively working on our 2010 program and plan to have it completed by May 1st. Please sign up for our newsletter to be informed of our plans.

A CELEBRATION OF THE SENSES
our Sensational Festival Fundraising Gala – was held on Saturday, October 3, 2009. It Featured Music by Katalin Kiss, Was Hosted by Colin Fox. Taste buds danced with Sensational Food by Queen's Bush Bistro. A Fabulous evening of music, food, silent auction, and Sensational Attire !

FILM ON A PLATE

MOVEABLE FEAST
An incredible concept in dining. This SOLD OUT event featured three courses served in three different restaurants. Diners were led from location to location by members of the Older Voices Troupe who will perform and inform along the way. Participating restaurants: Baileys, The Elora Mill, Whispers

EMPTY BOWLS
Bowls created by local area potters were available for sale during the Festival at Styll Gallery and The Elora General Store (or online at www.sensationalelora.com). Each bowl comes with a coupon for a “Scoop of Soup” at participating restaurants. All proceeds go to the Centre Wellington Food Bank. We raised $13040 for the Centre Wellington Foodbank !!!

EMPTY GLASSES
Following in the footsteps of Empty Bowls, local area glass artists created cups and glasses to be used for wine tasting by the Opimian Society at the opening gala “A Celebration of the Senses”. Proceeds will go to the Centre Wellington Food Bank.

THE SENSATIONAL SOUP OFF
Chefs, both amateur and professional, faced off with their original soup creations vying for the title of “Super Souper”. The weather was definately right for soup. Ticket prices included the purchase of an Empty Bowl along with the opportunity to taste all of the competing soups and vote for your favourites. Leticia Hammer was our winning amateur soup maker with "Blood, Sweat and Beer" a Cheddar and Ale Soup.

THE FILM FESTIVAL FOR YOUTH
Featured a full day Film Festival for kids to teens, offering a variety of fascinating international films that celebrate cultural differences and similarities and that can have a profound effect on kid’s understanding of the world. Also screened was the music video created by Youth Video Boot Camp members and a live performance by the band in the video.

And there were a myriad of community events to supplement the above, including THE ELORA FERGUS STUDIO TOUR, THE HARVEST HOME FESTIVAL, COOKING CLASSES WITH LOCAL CHEFS, AND SO MUCH MORE.
