The SENSATIONAL ELORA PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST will take place during Sensational Elora(October 1st – 11th, 2010). This call for entry invites submissions of no more than three (3) photographic images, with or without accompanying text of up to 100 words per image, that portray what is meaningful about Elora and environs to the photographer. Photos must be of a reasonably large file size and of high quality - minimum file size 1 megabyte and maximum file size 7 megabytes. Photos must be in jpeg format. All entries must be original works that have not previously been published, exhibited, or screened in any media or format or otherwise made widely available to the public, excluding publication on the Internet. Categories for submissions are amateur, professional or youth (under sixteen). Final date for submissions is September 15th, 2010.
The jury will select finalists and notify the photographers by September 25th, 2010.
Selected works will be framed and hung at a location to be determined for the duration of Sensational Elora. The General Public will have the opportunity to view the photographs in the gallery and the jury will chose winners who will be announced during Sensational Elora. Prizes will be given in each category; Professonal, Amateur, Youth.
Upon submission of images to the competition, photographers will retain all exclusive rights to their images, but grant Sensational Elora and it’s partners permission to publish said image(s) with respect to the Festival and for Elora-Fergus Tourism advertising. Images will not be sold or redistributed for any other purpose. Sensational Elora (& partners) will make every effort to ensure that name credits are given to any photograph published in any medium.
