DESCRIPTION:Join us for a festive celebration of the fall harvest and the beloved pumpkin at our annual Pumpkin Day at\nWellington County Museum & Archives!  This free\, family-friendly event is packed with activities and\nentertainment for kids of all ages. We ask attendees to please bring a cash or food donation for the Centre\nWellington Food Bank. \nHere’s what we lined up in 2025.  Updates will be made for 2026. \n– Professional Pumpkin carver – see an expert carver transform a 75-100 pound pumpkin into a work of\nart\n– Pumpkin Carving Competition – show off your carving skills!  Each family can carve a pumpkin on site\n(while supplies last).  Top pumpkins will be recognized with an award\n– African Drumming Circle – Try your drumming skills in a vibrant drumming session with an African\nDrummer\n– Indigenous Dancers – Tribal Vision Dancers: “Visions of Turtle Island”  Explore First Nations history and\ntraditions in Tribal Vision’s high-energy performance!\n– Face Painting – Talented face painters will transform faces into magical designs\n– Caricatures by Taylor\n– Ninja Wall for kids 5 and up by One Axe Pursuits\n– Reptile Show – Get up close and personal with fascinating reptiles\n– Sparrows’ Nests – get crafty!\n– Live Music – Enjoy live performances by local musician Paul Whittaker and his band.\n– Live Dance – Delight in the performances by our local dance troupe\, the Blue Bonnet Lassies\,  and a\nlocal Ukrainian Dance Troupe.\n– Free treats – Pumpkin Ice Cream (while quantities last)\n– Food for Purchase – Groovy Grilled Cheese Food Truck\nBring your family\, friends\, neighbors\, and chairs for a day filled with fun\, creativity\, and community spirit!\nSpecial Thanks:\n– McKay Farms – for planting and providing the carving pumpkins\n– County Wellington Museum & Archives – hosting this event\n– Local Community – Thank you for supporting our event and contributing to the Food Bank
